253-8889, Fax (606) 253-8882. The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks to
make multiple award contract(s) to responsible offeror(s) for the
provision of In- patient/Outpatient Medical Services to federal inmates
located at the Federal Correctional Institution in Beckley, WV. The
offeror(s) shall make available on a non-discriminatory basis, all
necessary hospital inpatient/outpatient hospital services,
inpatient/out- patient physician services, and outpatient institution
services. The successful contractor(s) shall be located within a fifty
(50) mile radius of the Federal Correctional Institution, in Beckley,
WV, and available on a non-discriminatory basis to provide all
services as proposed on an as needed basis. Such services shall be
provided in a manner consistent with the medical needs of the
institution while maintaining applicable standards of quality and
cost-effective care. Offeror(s) are encouraged to submit an all
inclusive proposal agreeing to provide Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital
Services, Inpatient/Outpatient Physician Services, and Outpatient
Institution Services. Offeror(s) may propose subcontracting agreements
with other providers in order to cover those items which are beyond
their in-house expertise. Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital Services shall
include, but not limited to the following: hospital inpatient rooms,
meals, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, outpatient procedures at the
contractor's facility, and other ancillary services. The offeror(s)
shall provide comprehensive Inpatient/Outpatient Physician Services in
the following areas, but is not limited to the following:
Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Otorhinolaryngology,
Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Pathology, Anesthesiology, Psychiatry,
Cardiology, Urology, General Surgery, Radiology, Infectious Disease,
Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Chemotherapy,
Cardiovascular Surgery, Detoxification, Pulmonary Medecine, Outpaient
Physicial Therapy, Radiation Therapy, Oral Surgery, Drug Abuse Therapy,
Laboratory Services, Professional Services, Dialysis, Obsterics and
Gynecology, Neurology, Vascular Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery, and Neurosurgery. The contractor(s) shall also
provide the following Outpatient Institution Services at the Federal
Correctiona Institution, located in Beckley, WV: Orthopedic Surgeon,
Optometrist, Dermatologist, Dietician, Podiatrist, Radiologist,
Pharmacy Technician, Psychiatrist, Medicial Record Technician (ART),
Physical Therapist, Dental Assistant, Cardiologist, Radiology
Technician, Phlebotomist, Bio-Medical Services, and Dental Hygenist.
This will be a fixed-priced, indefinite quantity/ indefinite delivery
contract, with a base period from date of award through twelve months,
with the possibility of four (4), one-year option periods for renewal.
The estimated quantities for these periods are as follows: Base Year
(award through twelve month period), estimated minimum inpatient days
50, estimated maximum inpatient days - 200, estimated minimum
outpatient days - 100, estimated maximum outpatient days 450; Option
Year One (thirteen months through twenty four months), estimated
minimum inpatient days - 50, estimated maximum inpatient days - 200,
estimated minimum outpatient days - 100, estimated maximum outpatient
days - 450; Option Year Two (twenty five months through thirty six
months), estimated minimum inpatient days - 50, estimated maximum
inpatient days - 200, estimated minimum outpatient days - 100,
estimated maximum outpatient days - 450; Option Year Three (thirty
seven months through forty eight months), estimated minimum inpatient
days - 50, estimated maximum inpatient day - 200, estimated minimum
outpatient days - 100, estimated maximum outpatient days - 450; Option
Year Four (forty nine months through sixty months) estimated minimum
inpatient days - 50, estimated maximum inpatient days - 200, estimated
minimum outpatient days - 200, estimated maximum outpatient days -
