377-3118. This project consists of replacing the existing domestic hot
water, air conditioning, heating and ventilation system and control
with a turn key geothermal - heat pump system. The geothermal system
and controls shall be designated for four seasons (provide sufficient
BTUs for heating anddn cooling, and CFM for ventilation and fresh air
for approximately 300 square feet of engineering office area (20
people). If necessary, the Contractor may keep the existing oil heating
equipment for redundant heating. The geothermal system shall be
connected to the existing base-wide Johnson Controls EMCS (Metasys).
The Contractor shall remove all abandoned electrical, mechanical
systems and control systems. The Contractor shall provide a ventilation
system for the mechanical room and shall patch the existing grill
opening between the office area and the mechanical room and match the
existing wall. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper
sizing, calculations, shop drawings, and installation submittls for the
geothermal system. The Government will provide all existing file
drawings of the buildings. The Contractor shall be responsible to
verify existing conditions. The Contractor shall provide emission
information of the new system versus the existing system. The project
includes site preparation, excavation, drilling, trenching, paving,
concrete work, piping, mechanical systems and controls, air
conditioning, heating and ventilation, exterior and interior electrical
connections, fire detection, duct work, system testing, balancing, shop
drawings, as built drawings, and miscellaneous other repairs. The
Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, tools,
coordination, an supervision. This project is a firm-fixed simplified
acquisition procedure. The magnitude of construction is $25,000 to
$100,000. The period of peformanace will be 90 calendar days from
contract award. The site visit is scheduled for 10:00AM, local time, on
09SEP96. Bids are due at 12:00PM, local time, on 13SEP96. The Statement
