This procurement is for the purchase of a Cameca IMS-6f Ion Microanalyzer (SIMS). This is a sole source procurement to Cameca Instruments, Inc., Trumbull, CT, since they are the only source who can supply a magnetic-sector, high-mass resolution, high-transmission mass spectrometer for SIMS. The SIMS instrument will be utilized for advanced electronic materials characterization of semiconductor materials employing trace level dopants at submicron lateral features. Hence, the software with this system must permit data massage for microscope imaging, depth profiling and mass spectra of solid state materials. This procurement also includes installatin of the SIMS, spare parts and maintenance of the SIMS. All responsible sources may submit a bid or proposal which will be considered by the Agency.
