70 -- PLEXUS XDP STORAGE MANAGER BASE LICENSE FOR RS/6000 SOL FERC96- POC Mary Anne Wright, Contract Specialist, on (202) 219-1159 Sylvia Brown, Contracting Officer, on (202) 219-1155 The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) intends to procure one-hundred and twenty eight Plexus XDP Storage Manager Base License for RS/6000 model 7015-99 (SM22ORS325X128X8) licenses and maintenance from HRB Systems, Inc., located in State College, PA. The licenses are to provide the proper level of licensing necessary for the Records Information Management System (RIMS) III application to be intergrated with the Plexus XDP Storage Manager application (to implement optical storage). The RIMS III index application uses 256 Informix On-line licenses, and the Plexus XDP Storage Manager licenses, and the Plexus XDP Storage Manager license quantity must match the On-Line concurrency quantity. FERC currently owns one-hundred and twenty eight licenses for each of these Storage Manager products. All systems must be compatible with the existing communication processor on the local area network in the Washington, DC Headquarters office. All interested parties may submit detailed technical specifications with itemized pricing to the FERC, Division of Procurement, Information Resources Procurement Branch, 888 First Street., NE, Rm 4J-02, Washington, DC 20426, Attn: Mary Anne Wright, Contract Specialist, and must reference EADP-96-300. The Contracting Officer will determine after alternatives are received that if in effect there is alternative sources available that can provide the requested items as described at a more equitable price and would be in the best interest of the Government, will provide a solicitation document to those responsible sources submitting a request from this synopsis notice. Those vendors determined responsible will receive a soliciation document. If no alternatives are received within fifteen days after this notice of intent is published and 30 days thereafter of this notice, then FERC will place an order with HRB Systems, Inc. (0232)
