The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing dental office support services to the dental clinic at the Federal Detention Center, and the Federal Correctional Institution, Arkona Rd, Milan, MI. Services include but are not limited to: assisting in infection control in the dental area, assisiting dental officer in oral surgical procedures, operative procedures, preparation of prosthetics, taking of dental x-rays, endodontics, preventative dental care, clerical duties, dental lab functions, and maintaining supply levels for the dental area, assisting the dentist in patient education, quality assessment/improvement, and preparation of reports and audits. Requirements include: graduate of a college curriculum and holding a license to practice as a dental assistant in the state of Michigan. The contract period will include a base year, not to exceed twelve months from date of award, with four, one year option periods for renewal. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The anticipated issue date of solicitations is August 27, 1996, with an anticipated receipt of offers due by September 17, 1996.
