The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing medical lab services to the inmate population housed at the Federal Detention Center, and the Federal Correctional Institution, Arkona Rd, Milan, MI. Services include but are not limited to: performing various tests ordered by medical staff (to be performed at vendors place of business). Some of the tests include: ALT, Albumin, Carbamazepine, CBC, Hepatitis A, Urinalysis, Chem 1 Profile. Requirements include: Lab must be an accredited or licensed lab capable of providing services. Daily pickup, Monday through Friday, from the institution and emergency pickups, and results available within 24 hours. The contract period will include a base year, not to exceed twelve months from date of award, with four, one year option periods for renewal. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The anticipated issue date of solicitations is August 27, 1996, with an anticipated receipt of offers due by September 17, 1996.
