The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing biomedical equipment service/repair to equipment located at the Federal Detention Center, and the Federal Correctional Institution, Arkona Rd, Milan, MI. Services include but are not limited to: replacing faulty wiring and plugs on electrical equipment, checking equipment for proper voltage, grounding, rpm's, routing cleaning on computers and calibration of other medical equipment. Contractor will be required to provide documentation of maintenance for JCAHO compliance. Requirements include: certification in biomedical equipment repair, and licensed in the state of Michigan. The contract period will include a base year, not to exceed twelve months from date of award, with four, one year option periods for renewal. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The anticipated issue date of solicitations is August 27, 1996, with an anticipated receipt of offers due by September 17, 1996.
