The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a competitive basis the following equipment (or equal): System must use 8mm tape cartridges and support unattended backup over a multiplatform network, including HPUX, SUN Solaril, SGI, and DEC OSF systems. It must hold 40 tapes and be expandable. The host system must be HPUX and any software to support this product must be HPUX compatible. The system consists of the following: one each Qualstar P/N TLS 4440/1, 40 tape, single 8 mm-7/14gb drive upgradable to 4 drives & 80-tape capacity, backup tape library, including barcode reader, cable and terminator; one each Exabyte P/N EXB8505X1, 8mm-7/14gb add on drive (2nd, 3rd, & 4th drive); forty each Exabyte P/N EXB160M, 14gb cartridge media-40; one each Exabyte P/N EB1699, 8mm tape barcode label, 200 count; one each Legato P/N 2501, Legato Networker for HPUX; one each Legato P/N 2520, Legato TurboPak for HPUX; one each Legato P/N 2522, Legato 25 Client connections for any Unix clients; Legato P/N 2514, Autochanger module for up to 64 slots and one each Legato P/N 3300 ClientPak for Unix.
