The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Office has a requirement to provide parking spaces for the staff at the Metropolitan Detention Center, 535 N. Alameda Street., Los Angeles, California 94568. The services are required 24-hours, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year. The offeror must be able to provide 24 hour security and security patrols for the parking areas to ensure protection for the parked vehicles of the MDC staff. The parking areas must be illuminated by a minimum of 4 candle light power. The parking lot must be located within a ``reasonable walking distance'' to the Metropolitan Detention Center. Reasonable walking distance is considered to be less than or equal to four city blocks or approximately one-third of one mile. The offeror must also provide nine consecutive adjoining parking spaces which must be marked. The anticipated period of this contract will be from Oct 01, 1996 through Sept 30, 1997. It is anticipated that Invitation for Bids packages will be approximately be available Aug 23, 1996 with an approximate opening date of September 24, 1996.
