542-4702 Maintenance on the Bell & Howell Jetstar sorting system is
required for the period October 1, 1996 thru September 30, 1997. The
Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, parts, travel
and transportation, tools, manuals, diagnostic software, test equipment
and other necessary items when performing maintenance and repairs under
this contract. The Contractor will support both the hardware/software
components defined as: 1) magazine module; 2) operator station module;
3) computer console module; 4) delay module; 5) ink jet module; and 6)
bid module to keep the Jetstar 3000 unit operating at the original
equipment manufacturer's specifications. This includes installation and
maintenance of all software needed to operate the system. Response time
shall be within 2 hours during Principle Period of Maintenance (PPM)
and within 4 hours during Outside Principle Period of Maintenance
(OPPM). All responsible sources may submit an offer. Solicitation
