J -- ETHYLENE OXIDE GAS STERILIZER SOL N0016897RC03D07 DUE 082796. POC Contracting Officer, Tracy Holland, 301/295-6490. National Naval Medical Center intends to enter into a sole source contract with MDT Castle Company for maintenance on two ethylene oxide gas sterilizers, two ethylene oxide aerators, one automatic washer decontaminator, and three steam vacuum sterilizers. The period of performance will be 01 October 1996 to 30 September 1997. This system is located in the Sterile Processing Dept at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. MDT Castle will provide four maintenance inspections, to include parts, labor, travel and ten emergency service calls. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed maintenance contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY 97 funding. (228)
