MIT has received Notice of Allowance for its US Patent Application 08/222,633, Automatic Dependent Surveillance Air Navigation System by Paul R. Drouilhet et al, also known as ``GPS-Squitter''. The invention described in this patent application was developed at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory under FAA sponsorship. In order to promote the widest possible use of the GPS-Squitter technology, MIT/LL hereby issues notice of its intent not to assert its rights as patent owner against any and all persons in the commercial or non-commercial practice of the patent soon to issue.
