U -- SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR FOR DMA JOB ORDER COST ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (JOCAS) SOL DMA100-96-R-5171 POC Contract Specialist, Tammy Verdon, Contracting Officer,Jean Appel (301)-227-2302, FAX (301) 227-2218 The Defense Mapping Agency (DMA) intends to negotiate a cost plus fixed fee (level of effort) contract for systems administration support for the DMA Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS) II located at DMA, St. Louis, MO. Systems administration shall: develop, implement, and document system procedures for incorporating JOCAS II into the DMA environment and develop system software and/or modifications to provide DMA with costing capabilities. The systems administrator shall also refine the system s capabilities throughout the life of the contract. The systems administrator shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience at a system administrator level and a minimum of one (1) year experience in the use of SUN solaris operating system, ORACLE 7, JOCAS II and SUN systems (i.e., SPARC 2000). The systems administrator shall be capable of developing shell scripts to perform specific functions, modifying system parameters to improve operations, installing new version of system and database software, keep database up to date, and any other systems tasks required to keep the system running in the most efficient manner. The total estimated period of performance for this contract, including options, is 3 years.
