Plan, organize, and conduct a Town Meeting in New York City to highlight the success of the Department of Energy Clean Cities program. One of several meetings nationwide sponsored by the Department of Energy to highlight the success of the Department's alternate fuels program. The meeting and workshop will provide a networking opportunity by bringing manufacturers, suppliers, environmental activists, and community groups together for the purpose of education and to promote participation in alternative fuels programs. The Environmental Business Association was selected by other than full and open competition. The company is a not-for-profit company which exists only to promote the growth of the environmental industry in New York State and is the only organization of that type in New York State. Their staff has daily interaction with energy and environmental companies in New York providing them with current up to date knowledge of the industry. They have conducted numerous seminars and workshops with other partners over the past two years. It has been determined that there is only one responsible source and no other source will satisfy agency requirements. (233)
