15 -- PIONEER REMOTELY PILOTED AIR VEHICLES POC Contact, Christopher Rumsey, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a contract with Pioneer UAV, Inc., Hunt Valley, MD to procure approximately fifteen (15) replenishment spare Pioneer air vehicles, configuration management, and the associated data. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the proposed contract on a sole source basis with Pioneer UAV, Inc. PUI is the prime contractor for the Pioneer RPV and is the only source with the drawings, proprietary data, and technical expertise required to meet the Government's requirement. The statutory authority for this procurement is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 40067-96. (0234)
