D -- MIGRATION OF AN EXISTING TRAINING DATABASE WRITTEN IN ''ADVANCED REVELATION'' TO A CLIENT-SERVER ''WINDOWS NT'' PLATFORM USING ''MICROSOFT SQL'' SOL 132/0386Z/96 0004 DUE 090996 POC Purchasing Agent, IDA LOGSDON, (202) 231-8290 17. The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency, is required that the financial data and reports used in an existing training database written in ADVANCED REVELATION be migrated to a client-server WINDOWS NT platform using MICROSOFT SQL (database); the development/testing of new training reports to track financial expenditures; and the existing financial data maintained in the ADVANCED REVELATION database must be migrated to the new financial module to provide historical data. The financial data must be accessible with registration data maintained in an ORACLE RDBMS using a POWERBUILDER (front-end) so that it is transparent to the end-user. End-users will access the servers via UNIX and WINDOWS NT clients. This contract requires personnel with complete command of Advanced Revelation and a comprehensive understanding of the operations and reports of a DoD training and educational institution, and a TS/SCI security clearance. Vendors that can provide the above service must submit their proposals for consideration within fifteen (15) days of issuance of this synopsis. If a vendor desires to respond to this synopsis, he must reference PR: 132/0386/96, submit documentation which demonstrates the firm's ability to meet the Government's requirement and that it is advantageous to the Government to consider them. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers or any other information received in response to this notice because this synopsis of intent to place an order will not be considered a solicitation document. If no affirmative written documentation, technical specifications and pricing are received within fifteen (15) days of this synopsis, to the effect that a comparable source is available or that is more advantageous to the Government than purchasing the services of Automated Professional Systems, an order will be placed with Automated Professional Systems, Clarkville, MD 21029.
