FY97 Repairs to Drift Collection Vessel HAYWARD including, but not limited to: hauling, exterior and interior cleaning and painting, installation of grid coolers for propulsion and auxiliary engines, steel replacement, and miscellaneous other hull and machinery repairs. All work shall be performed at contractor's facility which must be located within an eight (8) hour radius of Caven Point Terminal, Jersey City, NJ at a cruising speed of maximum ten (10) miles per hour. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings and must comply with US Coast Guard '' Rules and Regulations for Subchapter I, Vessels'' as found in Code of Federal Regulations (Title 46, CFR) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) ''Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels'' and all pertinent regulations administered by the Occupational, Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Contract work shall begin one (1) day after delivery of vessel into contractor's custody and must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days after commencement of work. Bid packages will be available on or about August 26, 1996 and must be requested in writing, accompanied by a non-refundable certified check or money order for $25.00 payable to USA, COE, FAO, NED.
