703-784-5822 ext 246. The Marine Corps Systems Command MARCORSYSCOM) is
requesting information for the following Information Technology (IT)
integrated logistics support services. The U.S. Marine Corps is seeking
vendors with General Services Administration (GSA) schedule contracts
or other contract vehicles that are available to the Marine Corps, and
pricing for integrated logistics support for currently fielded and
planned information technology. Vendor's shall be capable of providing
the following services: (A) Worldwide support: parts and service
availability outside CONUS to include host nation support for extended
deployments. Examples... to provide for systems and individual
hardware items through assisting to build deployment parts blocks and
providing follow-on support for extended operations through a worldwide
commercial support infrastructure, (B) Vendor asset tracking:
serialized asset visibility for all supported equipment and systems.
Exampes...to ensure service and asset tracking, all supported systems
and peripheral items must have some means to identify serialized
tracking by a client-server application with clear relationships to
services, parts, and funding, (C) OEM self-maintainer: Marines to
perform authorized warranty maintenance. Examples...to train Marine
electronic technicians to perform warranty maintenance in forward
deployed environments were it is not prudent to send contracted
employees, (D) On-site and deployed sparing: integrate best commercial
practices for provisioning into traditional supply support both in
garrison and deployed. Examples...to offer vendor managed garrison and
deployed parts blocks closely integrated into traditional supply
support, (E) Post warranty ''pay-as-you-go'' support. Example...to
provide reliability based sparing once the systems or peripheral device
has exceeded it's normal warranty and pay related parts and services
''as-you-go'', (F) Prioritized customer service support center for
participating programs with 24-hour operations. Examples...to tailor an
around the clock customer support center tied to supported systems,
peripheral devices, and available funding, (G) Deployed on-site
technical representative. Example...to deploy the proper level of
technical competence when mission needs demand, (H) Ability to provide
and support technological enhancement. Example...to assist the
requirement to procure updated equipment, thereby maintaining open
systems architecture in a rapidly changing technological environment,
(I) Remote diagnostics. Example...to support remotely diagnostics in
determining selected equipment failure without breaching security
integrity, (J) Three year minimum warranty for new acquisitions with
options to extend to five total years coverage. Clarification...this is
both a service and procurement ''best value'' criteria for hardware
selection. This request is for information only. We are interested in
industry's ability to perform this type of worldwide logistics support
particularly with Command and Control systems. Interested sources
