The Federal Correctional Institution, Loretto PA is soliciting proposals from local hospitals within a 35 mile radius of the prison for both inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. Contractors will provide patient care services to include consultations, diagnostic, therapeutic, nursing and laboratory testing. The hospitals shall make available on a non-discriminatory basis, healthcare services of federal inmates in a manner consistent with the medical needs of the patients in accordance with the standards of quality and cost effective patient care. Estimated solicitation issue date is on or about October 25, 1996. Contract period is for one base year beginning from the date of award through September 30, 1997 with four one-year options to renew. All requests for information must be in writing. The estimated total requirement will be a minimum of 25 mandays and a maximum of 175 mandays for the base year and each additional year. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. (233)
