36 -- SINGLE CHANNEL ANALOG FM LIGHWEIGH PORTABLE REPEATERS SOL 067678ISC98 POC Elva Hooper, Contract Specialist, (202) 283-1183. The Internal Revenue Service intends to purchase seven (7) single channel analog FM lightweight portable repeaters which will operate on any transmit and receive frequency within the 216-220 Mhz frequency range with a minimum 2 watts transmitter output. These repeaters receive low power signals in high RF noise environments and rebroadcase the singals at 2 watts RF output on a different channel. These repeaters will operate unatended in tightly secured or open areas where close reception and/or recording of body worn transmitters is not possible. This equipment will operate within a 2.2 Mhz minimum separation between transmitter and receive channels. Repeaters must be small and lightweight with maximum dimensions of 12''H x 16''W x 10''D and maximum weight of 35 lbs. Housing must be a compact, rugged, weathertight aluminum housing with a black epoxy finish. Units must be capable of operating with the cover closed and must be capable of silent operation. Repeaters must be operational by external 12 VDC or an optional solar power system. Repeaters' internal power supply must allow operation from 90-250 VAC 50-80Hz without switch, jumper or wiring changes. Repeaters' power supply schemes must allow seamless fallback/switchover from AC's main source to external 12-16 VDC source-to-internal battery, in any event sequence as determined by availability. Low standby current for long term operation from battery or solar power. Maximum standby current must be less than 50 mA in low power mode. Accessories include a portable antenna mast system which will be anchored in place by the wheel of a vehicle parked on the foot of its fold-up base or may be used as a stand alone mast. The antenna mast system consists of a fold-up base; telescopic mast; and VHF antenna. Also a portable solar six panel array DC powered system will be supplied which will power a transportable repeater in the absence of conventional AC or DC power sources. This system will provide 100% of the power requirements for these repeaters. All responsible sources who can provide the above requirements shall submit written quotations within 15 days after this notice appears in the CBD. All quotes shall include price(s); FOB point; a poc (name and telephone numbers); GSA contract number if applicable; delivery date; business size and payment terms. Quotes over 10 pages in total will not be accepted by fascimile. No solicitation will be issued, therefore such request for solicitations will be considered non-responsive.
