The FHWA plans to negotiate a contract with Multi-Media Productions ''USA'', Inc. (Multi), under which the FHWA would pay some of the cost incurred by Multi for the production, promotion and publicizing of a special one-hour television and radio episode to be entitled ''Intelligent Transportation Systems''. That episode would be produced for The World Business Review, as one program in a 26-part series of programs examining the ways in which new innovations and technologies are providing high-tech solutions to everyday problems. It is anticipated that the episode would also be linked via the World Wide Web, and that it would be disseminated in print and through direct mail as well. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source (Multi-Media Productions ''USA'', Inc.) under the authority of Section 6.302 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Multi-Media has submitted an un-solicited proposal to the FHWA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0235)
