D -- DELIVERY POINT BAR CODING SOFTWARE SOL 012&&&-9608-0001 POC Margaret K. Spencer (Site Code DABT60) The US Army is seeking sources for the following Delivery Point Bar Coding Software for first class mail piece Data Mailer and address mailing labels. The Army needs United States Postal Service USPS and Coding Accuracy Support System CASS certified software package to output Delivery Point Bar Code DPBC on first class mail so they can meet qualifications for USPS mailing discount. The software must be able to process an ASCII flat file to output the DPBC above/below each address embedded in the blocks of variable length - The blocks of text are of variable length because, lines that contain only blanks are replaced with a single line feed character (ASCII 10) to reduce the file size-text in the file, where each variable length text block will be printed onto a pre-printed form as one(1) first class mailing piece. Software must be compatible with text printed onto this pre-printed form at eight(8)lines to an inch. Software must on this pre-printed form permit the DPBC to be printed on a line that will have text preceding it and following it on the same line. Software must print these forms on a Printronix P-9012 with an IPG-400 graphics card. Software must on the Printronix P-9012, cause no significant degradation in the current printing speed of approximately 2,300 forms, of average size 2080 bytes per form, per hour. Software must print fixed length ASCII text DPBC address mailing labels on an Slps P2000/P2000G. Software must run on a Sequent S2000/750 utilizing a Dynix (Sequent's version of Unix) operating System. Please submit brochures or information stating these requirements can be met by your company.
