The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement to provide hardware and software support for the Radar Beacon Digitizer (RBD) CV-3682/UPX. Solicitation number N00421-96-Q-1107 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The contract line items are: CLIN 0001 Provide Engineering Field Support (maintenance,installation and training) for the period 1 Oct 1996 through 28 February 1996; CLIN 0002 Travel to Support CLIN 0001. The Government intends a firm fixed price contract and to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract on a sole source basis with LITTON DATA SYSTEMS DIVISION under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. LITTON DATA SYSTEMS is the only source with the technical capability and knowledge needed to maintain the RBD system and retains proprietary rights to the technical data needed to perform the required services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a quotation in which they identify their interest and capability. All responsible sources shall be considered by the agency. All quotations received by 2:30 Eastern Standard Time 20 Sep 1996 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received.
