Prevost Tel: (410) 965-9489 The Social Security Administration (SSA) wishes to obtain the services of a contractor to train employees with disabilities on the use of computers with adaptive and assistive devices. Contractor shall be qualified in instructional hardware and software utilizing adaptive configurations. The three major areas of impairments are hearing, visual and mobility. The employee/instructor ratio will vary, however, no class will exceed 10 employees/2 instructors. It is estimated that 75 employees will be trained each year. Training will be conducted at Government-furnished facilities with Government-furnished equipment. The period of performance shall be one year from date of award, with four one-year option periods, if exercised. Solicitation number SSA-RFP-97-2769 is scheduled for release on or about September 15, 1996, with proposals due 30 days later. Requests for the RFP should be received no later than 20 days after the date of this publication. Requests received after this time will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
