Chappell, Contracting Officer The work of this contract consists of sawcutting and removing approximately 6200 sf of existing 5'' deep asphalt concrete paving and excavating 6'' of aggregate base. After the removal of the 6'' base the COTR will investigate and make the decision if any additional excavation is required for the sub-base. If additional excavation is require it will be paid at the contract unit price per cubic yard. After excavation the contractor will furnish and place aggregate base on a prepared sub-grade, and construct a 4.5'' heavy duty ID-2 binder course and a 2.0'' heavy duty ID-3 wearing course. The paving will be placed in the areas designated on the drawings. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Charge for solicitation documents is $25.00. Make check payable to DOI,NPS. This project is 100% set aside for small business. Please include your business size, phone number and address along with your check with your request.
