58 -- KU BAND SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SINGE CARRIER PER CHANNEL VERY SMALL APERTURE TERMINAL SOL DACW29-96-R-0038 DUE 100796 POC Valerie Sanders, Contract Specialist, (504) 862-1493 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has a requirement for a complete KU Bank Satellite Communications Single Carrier Per Channel (SCPC) Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) on the Dredge Wheeler. The contractor will be required to provide and install the necessary hardware, software, and equipment. The system will operate on a 56 Kilobits per second circuit. The service area will be the entire Gulf coast bounded by 32 Degrees North, 24 Degrees North on the South, 80 Degrees West on the East and 98 Degrees West on the West. The Contractors facility will serve as the Hub site. The Corps will provide the 56 KBS backhaul from the Contractors Hub facility to the Corps facility in New Orleans, La. The system will include everything needed to support multiple protocols. This proposed contract is 100% small business set aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about 9 September 1996.
