Sumner (817) 287-5453 (Site Code DAKF48) Synopsis/Solicitation of this requirement published in 14 Aug 96 edition of Commerce Business Daily is changed as follows: Sentence beginning ''Items: Nexwos - Awos II System'' shall read ''Items: Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) III which includes purchase and installation at the airfields located at Brady, Brownwood, San Saba, and North Fort Hood, Texas - 4 each.'' As reflected in previously published synopsis, it was not the intention of the Government to specify a manufacturer's brand name as evidenced by the absence of Numbered Note 22. The sentence beginning ''System shall have remote'' shall read: ''System shall have remote maintenance monitoring capabilities without taking the system off line or otherwise disabling the system.'' The following sentences are added to the synopsis: ''The electrical and telephone service will be provided by the Government to the installation site.
