Executive Blvd, EPS/RM 634 Bethesda, MD 20892-7228 99 -- ORIGEN IMMUNOASSAY SYSTEM SOL RFQ60130(NR) POC Marsha Gorham,
Purchasing Agent, (301)402-4509, Patricia Haun, Contracting Officer,
(301)402-4509. Under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1,
the National Institutes of Health (NCI) intends to procure an Qrigen
Immunoassay System from Igen Inc, 16020 Industrial Drive, Gaithersburg,
Maryland, 20877. The Origen Tag-NHS ester is chemically designed in
such a way that up to 25 of the tag labelling molecules can be coupled
to a single protein thus providing much greater amplification of the
electrochemoluminescence signal. This makes it an extremely sensitve
detection system. This technology will enable NCI investigators to
screen the library rapidly with much less sample and also to determine
binding affinities of proteins which are selected for the library. The
Origen system is the only known immunoassay system with this technology
and benefits. It is the Government's belief that the requirements can
only be met by Igen Inc. This notice of intent is not a requirement for
competitive proposals, however, if an interested party believes they
can meet the above specifications, they must submit their capablities,
and furnish concise responses directed specifically to the
requirements mentioned above. Information furnished shall include
enough materials to perform a proper evaluation. Offerors will not be
notified of the evaluation results. *** WRITTEN QUOTATIONS ARE
REQUIRED, ALONG WITH DESCRIPTIVE MATERIAL OF THE PROPOSED ITEM WHICH
MEETS ALL THE SPECIFICIATIONS ABOVE. QUOTATION WILL BE DUE 20 DAYS FROM
THE RELEASE OF THIS SYNOPSIS. ***No collect calls will be accepted. See
