The FHWA plans to negotiate a contract with The Television Network (ITV) for the production of an approximately 30-minute television feature episode of ''The Cutting Edge Technology Report'' series. That episode would focus on technology and information superhighways. It is anticipated that ITV would provide national cable distribution of the episode on The Discovery Channel, plus distribution to other audiences. It is anticipated that ITV would also promote and publicize the episode. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source (Information Television Network) under the authority of Section 6.302 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Information Television Network has submitted an un-solicited proposal to the FHWA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0236)
