Marine Academy requires approximately 1,200 new student mailboxes. The
mailboxes shall include a 3 digit single dial combination lock, have
solid brass doors and be 5 1/2 inches wide, 6 inches high and 12 inches
deep. The mailbox compartments shall be constructed of 20 gauge steel.
Solicitation packages will be ready on 4 September 1996. Telephone and
facsimile requests shall be accepted. The applicable standard
industrial classification is 3499. This is 100% set-aside for small

ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small
and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STEP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
