99 -- LANDING CRAFT AIR CUSHION STARBOARD CREW SEATS SOL M00681-Q-6211 POC Gloria Muchemore, Contract Specialist, 619-725-1937. The Government intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Seats Inc, P O Box 60, Reedsburg WI 53959. Contractor to furnish the following: A. For all LCAC'S (4) each landing craft, air cushion starboard crew seats, P/N 145746. (quantities given represent one shipset). B. For Avondale Gulport Marine (AGM) craft: 2 each P/N 574937-003 track, engineer (Textron Marine System) (TMS design). 2 each P/N 5749737-011 track. Operator (TMS design). 2 each P/N 5749737-013 track, navigator (TMS DESIGN). 260 MS210443C3 nuts. Installation requirements for TMS; remove existing seat assemblies on LCAC-24. Install seat assemblies on existing tracks. Discard old seats and restraints to surplus. AGM craft; remove existing seat assemblies. Remove AGM design seat rails for the operators, navigators, engineers and wave commander seats. Discard seats, tracks, and restraints to surplus; scrap the MS21044C3 nuts, retain screws and washers. Plug weld holes in ''T'' stiffeners welded to deck of craft. Grind surface smooth after holes are filled. Locate TMS design seat rails per drawing 5749110 REV LG match drill LCAC deck/stiffeners to bolt pattern in new track and install track using new nuts and existing screws and washers. Install new seat assemblies. Quantity; 164 each. It is the Governments belief that the supplies required are available only from one source. No other type of supplies will satify the Agency requirements. Request for quote will be available 09 September 1996. Firms that recognize and can furnish the required items are encourazged to identify themselves providing supporting documentation to the Contracting Office within fifteen days from the date of this publication. If no affirmative written responses are received to the effect that the items are available from another source at a lower cost an order will be placed with Seats Inc. without further notice.
