16 -- CONVERSION OF A F-14B UPGRADE IWSMT INTO AN F-14A/B IWSMT SOL N00019-94-C-0062 POC Contact, Jeff Brown, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to modify Contract N00019-94-C-0062 with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC). This modification is for the conversion of a F-14B upgrade IWSMT Integrated Weapons Systems Maintenance Trainer, presently under contract, into an F-14A/B IWSMT prior to delivery. The conversion will enable the trainer to be utilized in both F-14A and F-14B upgrade configurations. NGC is the sole designer and manufacturer of the F-14 aircraft and the F-14B upgrade trainers. Northrop Grumman Corporation also built the original F-14 IWSMT. NGC is the only known source who possesses the required expertise and knowledge to provide the effort within the timeframe required.
