Kelly, III (919) 664-6205 (Site Code W36HUG) The North Carolina Air National Guard, NCANG, has a requirement to procure Type A, B, and C professional Architectural-Engineering (A-E) Services for development of a design of a 35,000 sq ft Composite Maintenance Facility to be located at the Stanly County Airport, New London, NC. Project number, WEFM969570 has been assigned to this project. Significant criteria for selection in descending order of importance are (1) PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS of the principals, design team of the firm and consultants include architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, structural and environmental disciplines; (2) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE and TECHNICAL COMPETENCE: Specific experience of the firm and its consultants with HVAC design, paving design, fire detection, roofing design, and electrical systems design will be evaluated; (3) CAPACITY TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK in REQUIRED TIME: General workload and staffing capacity of the design office will be evaluated; (4) PAST PERFORMANCE: Past performance on Government and related private projects will be evaluated; (5) LOCATION: Geographic location of the A-E firm will be evaluated; and (6) VOLUME OF DOD WORK: The volume of DOD work contracted to the A-E firm will be examined. Proposed contract award for initial Type A Services is 1 Nov 96 with contract completion scheduled for 30 Jun 97. Firms desiring consideration shall submit appropriate data as described above.
