Thomsett, Contracting Officer, 704-299-5830 This VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Picker International, 2540 Metropolitan Dr., Trevose, PA 19053, TEL: 215-322-9300, for cooperative maintenance of all components of a Picker MR VISTA Q Ultra Mobile system, including a Kodak Ektascan 1120 laser imager with associated software. Contract includes providing routine and emergency service with a four hour response time; quarterly quality assurance reviews; routine and emergency cryogen replenishment; magnet maintenance including replacement of magnet, pump, cold-head replacement, cooldown of the magnet, shimming, reassembly, cryogens, and performance testing after repair and/or replacement of magnet; training; travel; service bulletins; and diagnostic software. The mobile MRI will be located at various times at either the VA Medical Centers in Asheville, NC, Salisbury, NC, or Johnson City, TN. The period of performance will be one year from date of award with four one-year options. This documentation must clearly demonstrate evidence of the ability to provide the required maintenance and support described herein.
