delivery of a short-term training course on the systems approach to
successful procurement and implementation of new technologies, and to
provide instruction and resource materials on the necessary steps
leading to a contract. The transit industry needs to apply lessons
learned from early procurement of new technology systems, whether
software, hardware or innovative services, to make future decisions
better. This course is for transit agency personnel who are engaged in
procuring new technologies, including end-users of the proposed
systems, as well as specialists from the legal, procurement, and
project management disciplines who may attend the course individually
or as part of an agency team. The contract will require a list of
materials, course outline, case studies, cirriculum and all materials,
including a participant resource manual, presentation of a pilot
session and delivery of the course up to twenty-three (23) times over
the three and one-half (3-1/2) years of the contract (two and one-half
(2-1/2) years plus one (1) option year). To obtain a copy of the
