Y -- INSTALL AID-TO-NAVIGATION (ATON) STRUCTURES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT AT LOS ANGELES MAIN CHANNEL RANGE LLNR'S 3122 AND 3123 SOL DTCG88-96-B-623B06 DUE 101596. Provide all materials (excluding Government Furnished Material), labor, equipment and transportation necessary to accomplish work of installing the aid-to-navigation (ATON) structures and associated equipment at Los Angeles Main Channel. Work includes: (a) Install new Los Angeles Main Channel Range front and rear structure (LLNR's 3122, 3123) consisting of two new four-pile steel structures and steel towers as shown. (b) Install a Government furnished submarine cable, 3/c-#6 AWG, 5KV, between the new range structures and the existing Public Utility pole from the pole mounted transformer, located on the outer extent of Pier 1 of Los Angeles Harbor in the City of San Pedro. The length of the run is approximately 800 feet. (c) Install a 120 VAC meter base to match PUD meter, weatherhead, counduit, and conduit straps. Install a lockable NEMA 3R enclosure a 15amp fusible disconnect switch 6 feet above ground level at the secondary side of the transformer. Terminate wires as required. (d) Install the new submarine cable on the front and rear range structures to the junction boxes with cable straps as shown in the drawings. Terminate wires as required. (e) Complete a geodetic survey of the front and rear range structures with a minimum accuracy of 3rd Order Class 1. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Performance period is 30 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is an unrestricted acquisition being solicited and awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Anticipated bid issue date is 16 September 1996 with opening date 30 days later. (239)
