Brookhaven National Laboratory located approximately 60 miles East of New York City intends to solicit bids for the following: Improve Electrical Service in Bldgs. 170 & 180, for small business only. SIC Code 1731. Work consists of replacing existing three (3) single-phase transformers with one (1) 3-phase, 300 kVA pad-mounted transformer supplied by BNL. Replacing of existing electric baseboard heaters with incremental units supplied by BNL. Upgrading of primary feeders, trenching, electric distribution panels, light panels, 20A/125V duplex receptacles and modifying of existing or new concrete pad to accommodate new transformer. Work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction time is 24 weeks. Estimated construction cost is $200,000 - $250,000. A 20% Bid Bond is required. Payment and Performance Bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven National Laboratory is charging a non-refundable fee of $50 for bid documents.
