BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LABORATORY located approximately 60 miles East of New York City intends to solicit bids for the following: CLEAN ROOM/LAB UPGRADES, BLDG. 703, for small business only. SIC Code 1542. Work consists of the renovation of a general purpose laboratory into a class 10,000 clean room. The renovation includes the removal of lab furniture, mechanical and electrical utilities. The project includes furnishing and installing new laboratory furniture, reflective ceilings, flooring and the modification of existing HVAC systems. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction time is 16 weeks. Estimated construction cost is $100,000 - $150,000. A 20% Bid Bond is required. Payment and Performance Bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven National Laboratory is charging a non-refundable fee of $25 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to ``Brookhaven National Laboratory'' are acceptable.
