Bruyn, Supervisory Contract Specialist (619) 524-2346. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N55304-96-Q-0117 appplies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The Government intends to procure a fixed-price contract as follows: (1) Supply and install four (4) 10-ton horizontal Cooling Coils and Condensing units for the second deck of Building 76 at 32nd Street Naval Station, San Diego, CA in accordance with the specifications outlined herein: Condenser units are to be mounted on the ground outside building. Contractor is responsible for thermostats and controls for the system. System controls to be mounted in a location for easy adjustment/monitoring without need for ladder or other access devices. Condensed moisture from a/c to be pumped/piped to outside sewer drain for disposal. System to include all piping, fabrication/installation of cooling coil, ducting, registers, diffusers, fittings, transition pieces, connectors, insulations, nuts, bolts and other miscellaneous parts, adhesives/sealants, etc. necessary to complete system. Completed system to be tested for leaks by hydrotest or vacuum test to ensure piping integrity and environmental safety. Staff to be trained in system operation/maintenance requirements. Contractor responsible for any auxiliary services necessary for installation, i.e. transportation, cranes, rigging, hauling, etc. System must have a minimum of one (1) year warranty on parts and labor.
