The MILSATCOM Terminal Programs Office (ESC/MC) at the Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, MA is seeking information to determine the availability of 5 MHz militarized rubidium standards (Rb Stds) for use in Milstar terminals used in fixed ground, ground transportable, and aircraft applications. Interested conpanies must contact the POC within fifteen (15) working days of the publication of this announcement to declare their interest in participating in this market survey and to request a copy of the rubidium frequency standard source control drawing (218-0057). The purpose of the market survey is to identify potential sources of supply for 5 MHz militarized Rb Stds. Both domestic and foreign sources are encouraged to respond to this request for information. Foreign sources will be processed in conjunction with the Department of Defense (DoD) Foreign Comparative Testing (FTC) program. Within twenty (20) working days of receiving the source control drawing, companies must submit a brief technical description of their militarized Rb Std (not to exceed five pages), the extent to which their militarized Rb Std has undergone development, production, and/or qualification, and a brief description of their related manufacturing and development experience (not to exceed two pages), to the POC. Responses must also include company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and facsimile telephone number. Foreign owned sources should directly identify themselves as such. This announcement survey may not lead to a future competitive procurement activity and is not to be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor as Government intent to issue an RFP.
