Wright-Patterson AFB OH has a need to convert a 200 keV Transmission Electron Microscope equipped with a Gatan 766 digiPEELS Unit from standard photographic image acquisition capability to both photographic and digital image acquisition capabilities coupled with analysis capabilities. The digital acquisition components shall be compatible with and retro fit into a Gatan 766 digiPEEL energy loss detector system which attached to the TEM. WPAFB OH intends to contract with Gatan Inc. This is a combined sysnopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplimented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitaiton; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. this solicitaion no. F33601-96-R-A058 is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 36. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3827 and the small business standard is 500 employees. CLIN 0002 is one (1) each: DMA Acqusition Module - (Gatan model #: 799-0000). CLIN 0003 is one (1) each: Upgraded version of the digital Micrograph TM Software (Gatan model #: 700-U25). CLIN 0004 is one (1) each: Retractalbe TEM TV Camera and its Control Unit (model #: 692). CLIN 0005 is one (1) each: High Resolution TV Monitor (model #: 692-63HR). CLIN 0006 is one (1) lot: Installation/Checkout/and Training (ref #: 794/T692). Delivery is required within 6 months after contract award, FOB destination to Wright-Patterson AFB OH, Descriptive literature is required.
