Contractor shall provide the following items to refurbish the Liquid Chromagraphy Preparation System. Prep LC 4000 Prod# WAT037155, 410 Differential Difractometer Prod# WAT070390, 486 Tunable UV/Vis Det S-P Prod# WAT080642, Col Heater Module Prod# WAT038040. It is intended to award this contract to Waters Corporation, Milford, MA on a sole source basis--Waters Corporation is the manufacturer of the existing system and is well established in the area of such systems. Waters Corporation has the requisite manufacturing capabilities to refurbish the liquid chromagraphy preparation system and also has the technical expertise in the form of a skilled and experienced staff to satisfy the requirements. Most importantly, this liquid chromagraphy preparation system will be used in conjunction with other types of existing systems manufactured by Waters Corporation which are currently in the possession of the US Army.
