The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a small purchase on a sole-source basis to Microsoft Corporation for one year of maintenance support of Microsoft Premier software. The specialized software maintenance program will be utilized in support of the Department of Energy, Headquarters, Office of the Inspector General. It will support their installed WINDOWS NT server software packages. The service includes technical support, technical account management and technical service. The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 U.S.C. (253)(c)(1). Interested parties are advised that no solicitation document is available for this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capacity to respond to this requirement or to submit proposals. This Notice-Of-Intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
