The purpose of this solicitation is to procure approximately seventy (70) Ballistic Jackets with Interchangeable vest. These jackets are required to have snap track pockets, eight front pockets with zipper and snapclosures, ``D'' rings sewn into pockets to tie off gear lanyards, two insert hand pockets, 9mm pistol holster radio pocket for the sheath for the clip-lock knift ``boot knife'', and two one handed cinch straps with slide buckles at the waist and two straps with velcro at the shoulders. Vest and pockets to be made from woven DuPont Kevlar material, to be fire retardant and eliminate flash-ups or heat generated ignition. Vest fabric to be made of 1000 denier black woven nylon mesh, pocket material 600 denier coated nylon pack cloth black. Vests and Ballistic jacket have to work together, held securely together to prevent shifting or binding and to be able to quickly disengage the vest from the ballistic panel jacket.
