In this second revision, the main reference used is ICUMSA (International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis). The methods of test include colour, moisture by loss on drying, polarization, reducing sugars, sulphated ash, heavy metals, sulphur dioxide and particle size distribution. 7.
