Ext. 237 The government intends to procure a computerized maintenance
program (CMP), including labor and parts, for a 1994 Gulfstream G-IV SP
high altitude fixed wing aircraft, Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA), Registration Number N49RF, Serial Number 1246. This requirement
is for an 18-month inspection, maintenance, and spare parts needed
when the aircraft arrives at the requestor's facility. The aircraft
will be flown to the contractor's facility by NOAA personnel prior to
commencement of the of the required scheduled, unscheduled, and
warranty work, which will be done in accordance with all CURRENT, AOC
Operating Manual, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and FAA
publications. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials,
equipment and parts necessary to perform the following types of
service, including but not limited to, computerized maintenance
program, maintenance, repair, inspections, required manufacturer's
modifications, and servicing and lubrication of one each, government
owned aircraft, on an as needed basis. Services also include furnishing
all labor, materials, equipment, and parts necessary for repairs to
avionics and navigation systems, all subsystems installed in the
aircraft, and interior and external comedic reworks, and repairs, on an
as needed basis. The following evaluation criteria will apply: (1) Must
have the G-IV SP aircraft on FAA Repair Station Certificate, (2) Must
be insured for $50.0 million for the time the aircraft is at the
facility, and (3) Must have performed similar maintenance on this
aircraft type within the preceding day. The proposed contract action is
for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate
with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. However,
interested parties may identify their interest and capability by
submitting a capability statement within 45 calendar days from the date
of this CBD announcement. All proposals received will be considered by
the Government. Solicitation number 52WCNA606085MW will be issued O/A
October 18, 1996. A determination by the Government not to compete
this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely
within the discretion of the Government. Information received will
normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to
conduct a competitive procurement. If qualified responses are received,
the procurement will be issued to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation of
Savannah, Georgia. Copies of the solicitation may be requested in
