The U.S. Government intends to award a sole source contract modification to Hughes Missile Systems Company to perform follow-on efforts for the design, development, integration and test to update the AMRAAM Specific Common Field-Level Memory Reprogramming Equipment (CFMRE) Operational Software (ASCOS) reprogramming capability for the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) as a result of various missile engineering changes. Specific and detailed knowledge and experience is required with AMRAAM tactical software, ASCOS reprogramming software, missile hardware, and value engineering changes including the Digital Target Detection Device, Filter Processor, I/O, AMRAAM Data Processor (FIA) and Personality PROM. The project is anticipated to begin in January 1997 and will continue for a period commensurate with program complexity. An engineering data package is not available for this acquisition.
