This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-39. Line Item 0001 shall be for one (1) RACAL Model 6121 Satellite Mobile Terminal Test Set; Line Item 0002 shall be for one (1) RACAL Option S2 Mitsubishi MT System Software; Line Item 0003 for one (1) RACAL Option 101 Additional Signal Source; and Line Item 0004 for one (1) RACAL Option 103 RF Monitoring Port. Shipping is FOB--Destination to Quantico, Virginia. Offers are due COB 9/20/96. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Interested persons responding to this requirement must bid all or none and provide technical and pricing information. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
