The National Cancer Institute (NCI) requires delivery and installation of a Liquid Nitrogen cooled, back-illuminated CCD with Tektronix (SITe) array, High performance CCD camera controller, Real time data acquisition graphics display, data procesing windows software and a scope system for the CCD. the purchase of this instrument will permit observation of the local extracellular ATP environment around single cells and small populations of tumor cells. The Liquid nitrogen cooled CCD w/Tektronix array system shall include: Pixel format: 1024 x 1024; Pixel size: 24 x 24mm; Active area: 24.6 x 24.6mm; Well capacity: 500,000 e-; Read noise: 4-8 e-; Thermostating precision: 40 millidegrees; Response non-uniformity: Less than 6% over entire CCD area, except for blemish regions. The CCD camera controller shall include: 150 kHz, 16 bit digitization; High speed serial interface; Sophisticated triggering and synchronization; Individual pixel control for patterned row and column skipping; Provides power for camera thermoelectric cooler; Auxiliary digital and analog I/O for experiment integration under software control. Data Processing Windows software shall include: MacroBasic programming language; Multitasking capabilities; Toolbar for quick access to frequently used functionsl Full featured help. Scope System shall include: Stand with 100% sideport; Stage; 100 W illuminator pillar; Binocular with WH10X eye pieces; 4, 10, 40X objectives.
