The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 6.302-1 Brochures, Posters and Buttons for a information dissemination campaign as part of the 5 A Day Program from Try Foods International Inc., P. O. Drawer 2248, Apipka, FL 32704. The 5 A Day for Better Health Program is a nationwide nutrition campaign to promote health of Americans in every state. The Program is jointly sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH), an organization reqpresenting the fruit and vegetable industry. NCI has licensed 55 states includeing US territories, and the District of Columbia to develop and implement 5 A Day Programs. States depend on NCI to supply them with nutrition educational materials to fuel their program activities. The state health agency licesees and their coalition partners generate a continuous and increasing demand for printing educational materials and incentivies to support their community-based interventions. Try Foods is licensed to use our program logo and are required to comply with the 5 A Day Program Guidelines for participation. It is because of their experience and knowledge of the 5 A Day Program and its state licensees that they have developed onsistently high quality and appropriate products. The materials will be used in an upcoming annual 5 A Day campaign and disseminated in bulk packages to each of the 55 state/territory health agency licensees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above, they may submit a statement of capabilities. Information furnished shall include enough materials, in sufficient detail, to perform a proper evaluation of their ability to perform and must be received within 20 days of the publication of this notice.
